The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a full-time Lecturer on an 8- or 10-month basis with an anticipated start date of 23 August 2021. This position is outside of the tenure stream and subject to annual review. Applicants must have a PhD in biology and previous teaching experience. The position is for a Lecturer to teach at least two of the following courses: Foundations of Biology, Genetics, Ecology, and Communicating in the Biological Sciences. These are each multi-section courses wherein multiple faculty members teach independent sections, yet participate in common course development. Duties include teaching 2 to 3 sections per term (depending on class size). Evening sections may be needed.
