The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Cleveland State University (CSU) invites applications for tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in Computer Science, to begin in August 2021. Candidates with an established record of outstanding research, demonstrated and existing funding, and excellent teaching will be eligible for the tenured Associate Professor position. While applicants who have demonstrated outstanding research in all areas of Computer Science will be considered, the preference will be given to those in the following areas: Data Science, Cyber Security, and Internet of Things. Successful candidates should have completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field by July 1, 2021. 

Responsibility: the faculty hired in these positions will be expected to develop a strong, externally funded research program, supervise students, actively participate in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and provide services to the college and university.

Minimum Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

(1) Excellent teaching and communication skills. (2) Demonstrated a rank-appropriate scholarship and active grant seeking in research related to one or more of the preferred areas in Computer Science. (3) Demonstration of inter-disciplinary research. (4) Ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.

Hire is contingent upon the maintenance of existing levels of funding from the State of Ohio.
