Kaskaskia College is seeking a full-time, Professional/Managerial position, eligible for fringe benefits, with a salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year. This position is an initial five-year, grant-funded position that is partially underwritten by a federal Title III Grant. Position is expected to continue following expiration of the grant. Position is responsible for providing faculty development in best practices for online/hybrid instruction and overseeing course redesign, including developing, converting, and revising courses for online/hybrid delivery. The Instructional Designer will also act as a resource for best practices in online/hybrid instruction for adjunct faculty who are piloting courses.
This position requires a Master’s Degree in Education or a related field with an emphasis on curriculum and instructional design as well as a minimum of five years of instructional experience, preferably at a community college. Other qualifications include but are not limited to: experience in curriculum development and instructional design; experience in online teaching and curricular design; experience with professional development; demonstrated experience in the application of instructional technology; excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in organizing and planning; and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Occasional evening and weekend hours to execute functions in a timely and professional manner.
