Centre College seeks candidates for a two-year post-doctoral fellowship with a specialization in one of the following areas: Indigenous traditions of Africa, the Americas, or Oceania; Caribbean or Afro-Caribbean traditions; or religions of East Asia. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in religion (ABD considered). Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in a student-centered environment. Special consideration will be given to candidates committed to mentoring student research and supporting students beyond the classroom.  This position will be responsible for teaching three courses in the first academic year and four courses in the second year with the expectation that a portion of those courses will be part of the College’s general education curriculum. After the second year, there will be a possibility of renewal for one additional year and/or an invitation to apply for an anticipated tenure-track position in the program.
