The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially-based private institution of 9,200 undergraduate and graduate students.  The University is ideally situated on a beautiful 110-acre campus next to the Hillsborough River, adjacent to Tampa's dynamic central business district, which is a growing, vibrant, diverse metropolitan area. We are looking for a communication generalist who is able to teach undergraduate courses such as Media and Society, Visual Literacy, and film studies courses. The teaching load for this position is four courses (16 credit hours) per semester. There is an expectation that this line will continue.

A Ph.D. in Communication or a relevant field is required. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, but all degree requirements must be completed by the beginning of the Fall 2021 semester.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching. We welcome innovative pedagogies, and varied research agendas and traditions of scholarship.

Applications received by Feb 1, 2021 will receive priority consideration.
