Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Global Studies
The Department of Global Studies at University of California, Santa Barbara seeks to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor whose work focuses on issues of global conflict and violence, beginning July 1, 2018. Apply by November 1, 2017 for primary consideration. Seeking a scholar with broad historical and/or theoretical background who can analyze complex issues of conflict and violence in contexts that characterize the 21st century. Particularly interested in applicants with expertise in several areas: conflict over religion, ideology, ethnicity, environmental degradation and natural resources, state violence, terrorism, mercenaries-non state actors, genocide, and regional/civil wars.
