Description:
Under supervision of the Manager, Graduate Program, addresses individual academic, financial, career, and social issues that affect the success of graduate students to the University. This position is responsible for recruitment of students for the MBA and MAcc programs in the College of Business and serves as the point of contact for all prospective and current students.
Responsibilities:
- Present Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degrees, via the phone, email, and in person, in a professional, compliant, and positive manner.
- Execute recruitment measures, which ensures that targeted response times and accuracy guidelines are consistently met, to aid in enrolling students into MBA and MAcc programs.
- Assist prospective students through the enrollment process by adhering to call and database processes proactively.
- Handle the processing of graduate applications, preparing degree plans, and advising students using related software for each.
- Add value to the MBA and MAcc programs and builds rapport with students to successfully obtain transfers.
- Assist prospective students with the application process.
- Conduct graduate student orientation on an individual basis.
- Coordinate with graduate student functions such as career fairs and graduate school open houses.
- Coordinate preparation of graduate catalog copy for College each year.
- Other duties as assigned by the Dean including preparation of responses to AACSB questionnaires and various publication surveys.
- Recruit students to graduate programs and Professional Program in Accounting.
- Serve as advisor for currently enrolled graduate students, helping them with course selection and clearing them for graduation.
- Summarize graduate scholarship applications for Student Success and Scholarship Committee.
- Supervise one assistant who maintains graduate student degree plans, records, and correspondence.
- Perform special projects and other duties assigned.
- Assist with creation of class schedule each semester.
- Assist with maintaining hardcopy and electronic files for all graduate students, active and inactive.
- Collect and file syllabi and exams for each semester.
- Support students from enrollment through graduation.
- Assign each on-campus student a faculty mentor.
- Resolve problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems. Follow up to ensure resolution of each issue.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and services, across the university to understand processes, systems, and services and to resolve student issues.
- Provide counseling on career preparation and resources at key points to assist students prior to graduation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field
- Two years of related experience
- Additional education and/or experience may be used as a substitution for the minimum requirements:
- Associate's and Four (4) years of experience
- Master's Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master of Accountancy
- Two years of related experience
Salary:
- $36,512 - $38,860 Annual
