Colby-Sawyer College is a comprehensive liberal arts-based institution located in scenic Central New Hampshire, recognized for the excellence of its academic and co-curricular programs. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Colby-Sawyer College is seeking two outstanding and highly motivated faculty members to join the School beginning in the Fall 2021. We are looking for innovative, energetic nursing educators to teach both in the classroom and clinical setting. Applications for a tenure-track or non-tenure track, full-time faculty positions beginning September 1, 2021 are now being requested.

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences consists of diverse undergraduate and graduate academic programs, outstanding faculty, and a strong community partnership with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences serves over 350 students majoring in five undergraduate programs including Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing, Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Public Health, and Health Science. The School has on-line degree completion programs in Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science (RN-BS) and newly formed Registered Respiratory Therapist to Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (RRT- BSRT). The School also has a CCNE accredited Master of Science in Nursing program with three tracks: Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL), Nursing Education and Nursing Management & Executive Leadership. In addition, the School offers an Associate in Health Science degree.

Preference will be given to candidates with professional work experience in a nursing environment related to the teaching areas. The position includes teaching, advising, active scholarship and school/college service responsibilities. All full-time faculty are expected to contribute to the college’s liberal education program.

  • A doctoral degree is preferred; a Master of Science in Nursing is required
  • Demonstrate and possess a strong record of collegiate teaching
  • A philosophy of education consistent with Colby-Sawyer’s programs and mission are required
  • Expert clinicians who have a strong desire for an academic appointment focused on advancing knowledge through integrating teaching, clinical practice, scholarship, and service
  • Strong interest in mentoring and advising students
