Assistant Professor in Trauma Informed Clinical MSW Program
- Teach in an innovative and growing MSW program with substantive focus on trauma-informed clinical practice and collaboration with practice communities. The incumbent would be expected to teach courses that would include, but are not limited to Trauma Informed Clinical Interventions, Human Behavior Across Diverse Contexts, and field education courses.
- Maintain Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) status in the State of Minnesota.
- Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
- Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
- Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
- Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
- Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community. Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
- Assist with Council of Social Work Education accreditation process, program development and growth, program assessment, and curriculum design and delivery
- Practice community engagement through collaboration with other professionals and a commitment to meeting the needs of underrepresented and marginalized population
- [Earned MSW degree from a CSWE accredited program.
- Minimum of two-years post-MSW degree trauma-focused bottom up clinical practice experience.
- Temporary Graduate Social Work Licensure or regular social work licensure (LICSW-level) in the state of Minnesota by start date in August 2021. LICSW-level licensure is required by January, 2021.
- Prior experience teaching in social work or related field.

- Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching.
- Experience employing, assessing, and/or developing various innovative and research-informed trauma focused clinical practices.
- Record of trauma-focused scholarly and/or creative work?
- Evidence of effective graduate teaching skills.
- Experience in design and delivery of online courses.
- Demonstrated interest in the integration of diversity, research, policy, practice communities’ expertise, and practice immersion experiences throughout the curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and engage well with diverse students, faculty, administrators, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to have strong, positive relationships with practice communities.
- Demonstrated commitment to collaboration with community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated experience with CSWE accreditation processes.
