Job Summary

The Associate Director of Enterprise Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) and Web Services will oversee the day-to-day delivery, support, and continual improvement of enterprise CRM and web services for the Boulder campus as well as be the primary liaison to the other CU campuses and offices, including University Information Systems (UIS) and Advancement. These services are key components of student success and retention, end-to-end engagement, eCommunications, and all the other functions that complete the lifetime engagement of CU constituents.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Included in the Associate Director's Portfolio:
  • Oversight of program teams deploying and supporting enterprise CRM services.
  • Leverage our Salesforce.com platform for custom applications.
  • Oversight of enterprise web functions and delivery of web environments; application development; operations and support; and asset and content management.
Provide Leadership to Enterprise CRM and WEB Programs, including:
  • Lead all aspects of program teams deploying and supporting enterprise CRM and Web services, ensuring that services are meeting established objectives, metrics, and business needs within established budgets.
  • Work alongside the Director of Enterprise Services, establish and maintain relationships across multiple campuses in the development of CRM and Web strategies, collaborating with campus internal and external IT and other CRM stakeholders.
  • Work with university stakeholders and leadership to develop deployment strategies and operational service agreement plans for program areas.
  • Engage with the established governance structure to incorporate best practices and standards for all CRM and Web programs based upon IT principles set by OIT Leadership in collaboration with the Director of Enterprise Services. This includes facilitation of ongoing process changes required to participate with changing and maturing governance groups.

What We Can Offer
  • Annual salary range for this position is $130,000 to $145,000.

What We Require
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. A combination of education and experience as detailed below may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • 3 years of progressively significant IT service, program or product management experience specific to Salesforce.com (SFDC), Marketing Cloud, which includes:
    • Defining services, a program or products.
    • Requirements management and prioritization.
    • Responding to direct customer feedback.
    • Supervision of staff.
  • 3 years of experience in both hosted and cloud web-based technologies, particularly Drupal and WordPress and associated content management infrastructure.
What You Will Need
  • Knowledge of enterprise scale web-based systems and infrastructure and CRM base systems and products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly strong customer skills interacting with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to engage and manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to develop and manage departmental budgets and related financial information.
  • Willingness to engage, lead and collaborate in higher education IT communities.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in resolving highly technical issues in a higher education setting.
  • Ability to appropriately interact with campus-wide information technologists and end users, including faculty, staff, and students.
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive to ensure accurate availability of systems/services.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking while delivering results.


What We Would Like You To Have
  • One year of experience in higher education including demonstrated knowledge of higher education business practices such as student recruitment, advising and retention, and the associated systems and platforms.
  • Experience with SFDC Sales and Service Cloud.
  • One year of IT project management experience.
  • One year of technical experience as a developer, system integrator, or system administrator.
  • ITIL v3 certification
  • One year of experience in higher education IT service management practices.
  • Experience deploying or managing the deployment of enterprise CRM tools (Salesforce.com and related tools).
  • Experience deploying or managing the deployment of enterprise web tools (Drupal, WordPress and related tools and technologies).
  • Salesforce.com certification, including administrative certification (ADM201) and/or Sales Cloud / Service Cloud consulting certification.
  • Experience with CRM/web implementation and service operations: marketing, recruiting, business development, customer service, multi-channel management or case management.
