Job Summary
This position provides professional financial management support to the college’s
dean, associate deans, department chairs, center directors, unit directors and departmental administrators.
Essential Functions
-Prepares, reviews, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to ensure conformity with
university policies and federal/state laws and regulations.
-Works with the director to ensure sound budget development,
forecasting, implementation and analysis of the college’s annual
operating budget.
-Monitors college business operations and performs cost benefit
analysis of college programs in order to develop, implement, and
maintain sound financial management.
-Assists the college’s research enterprise and works with the
Engineering Business Office for the successful financial
management and planning of sponsored programs award
administration and compliance.
-Prepares and presents financial analysis reports to college level
administrators.
-Serves as a liaison to the other various university business offices
and represents the college in meetings on behalf of the director in
his absence.
-Coordinates financial management objectives with college
leadership in order to maintain successfully funded and solvent scholarship, fellowship and professorship programs.
-Assists in training programs designed to educate and enable departmental administrators’ ability to use various financial systems and processes.
-Supervise staff accountant
