Job Description:

The Department of Psychology at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position as Lecturer beginning Fall 2021. Expectations include, but are not limited to, teaching, student advisement, college service, and continuing professional development.

The Psychology Department is part of the School of Sciences, which consists of 10 academic departments and 2,400 students majoring in 22 programs. To learn more about the College or the Department, please visit https://suny.oneonta.edu/ or https://suny.oneonta.edu/psychology .

Duties include but not limited to: teaching courses in areas such as introductory psychology, behavioral statistics, research methods, and/or an area of specialization within our core curriculum, and other courses to meet department needs. Candidates are also expected to share in student advising and actively participate in departmental and university life.


Requirements:

Required Qualifications: master's degree in psychology or a closely related discipline; demonstrated capability of teaching courses in research methods and statistics; evidence of teaching effectiveness.

Preferred: PhD in psychology or closely related discipline; experience teaching courses described in duties above; demonstrated capability to provide effective advisement to undergraduate students; experience working with diverse populations and/or teaching pedagogies and/or multicultural teaching experience.
