Hospital Administrator

Job Description

Responsible for all administrative and management functions related to the operation of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. These responsibilities include direction and oversight of VTH's administrative, business development, human resources, financial, capital projects, and operations management functions. Daily interaction, planning, organization, direction, and coordination of departments within the Hospital including patient receiving, medical records, fiscal and materials management, communications, facility planning, security, patient care services, laboratory services, and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

Masters in business administration, health care administration or other business-related field. Must have knowledge of health care organizations (human or veterinary), staffing, and other functional hospital procedures and techniques. Demonstrated commitment to a diverse and equitable working environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Training and experience in veterinary hospital administration and/or health care delivery management is highly desirable. Previous experience in personnel, fiscal, and facilities management. Previous experience in working in an environment with students, intern, or resident training.
