Position Summary:

This faculty position is available in the Pharmacy Practice Division of the School of Pharmacy. The successful candidate will establish an externally funded research program and a limited clinical practice that is complementary to the individual's expertise, and will teach in the School's doctor of pharmacy program. All practice and research interests will be considered: individuals with expertise in precision medicine/pharmacogenomics, oncology, pharmacoanalytics, gerontology, acute care specialties, or pediatrics are especially encouraged to apply.

Teaching and research collaborations across other biomedical and health science schools on campus and within Wisconsin is possible and encouraged.

Principal Duties:

It is expected that the successful candidate will establish collaborations leading to an externally funded research program and related scholarship. Responsibilities will also include didactic and experiential teaching and mentoring in the School's professional pharmacy programs. The development of a limited clinical practice that is complementary to the individual's area of expertise is expected: clinical practice may be broadly defined.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Candidates must have a Pharm.D. degree.

All practice and research interests will be considered; however, individuals with expertise and research interests in precision medicine/pharmacogenomics, oncology, pharmacoanalytics, gerontology, acute care specialties, or pediatrics are especially encouraged to apply.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Pharmacy specialty residency (PGY2) or equivalent experience. A research fellowship, graduate degree or demonstrated research and scholarly productivity is desirable.

License or Certificate:

Must be eligible for Wisconsin licensure as a pharmacist.
