The School of Arts & Humanities at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Religious Studies. The position will begin in August of 2021.

Applicants must have the ability to work collegially and effectively with faculty, students, staff, administrative colleagues, alumni, and professional communities served by the unit.

Qualifications

We seek candidates with an appropriate Ph.D., D.Min., or are ABD with a clear plan for completion. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of undergraduate courses in our core curriculum such as Intro to Catholic Christianity, Christian Social Justice, Theological Health Care Ethics, and Women in Christianity, along with upper-level seminars for students in our Liberal Arts major. The successful candidate will also teach graduate courses in our M.A. in Religious Studies program. A strong commitment to teaching, advising, departmental citizenship, and a demonstrated program of scholarly research are required.
