About the Opportunity:
The Financial Aid Counselor is responsible for advising and counseling full and part-time undergraduate and graduate students/families on the availability of financial aid, the delivery process for receiving it, and the reconciliation processes required to ensure that financial aid funds are transferred to student account.

Responsibilities:
Review student applications, perform verification procedures, review/evaluate appeals, and intercede for students with participating departments (School administrators, student accounts, registrar, and co-op).

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required with 1-2 years' experience in student personnel administration, preferably in financial aid or college admissions. Knowledge of Title IV regulations, federal Financial Aid need analysis preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Working knowledge of PowerFAIDs, Banner, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with a student population and within a flexible work schedule required.
