Lehigh University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of theatre, with specialties in acting and directing. A subspecialty such as musical theatre, voice, movement, combat, or other is desirable. The candidate will hold the required appropriate terminal degree and will be expected to generate a high-quality portfolio of scholarly research and creative work. The candidate will teach in areas of expertise, direct on-campus, mentor students, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in university service. Our ideal new colleague would direct a range of genres and styles. This appointment begins in Fall 2021. We offer a NAST-accredited B.A. housed in a multi-venue arts center. We are looking for a hands-on colleague dedicated to the principles of an undergraduate liberal arts education. Lehigh University seeks a community of faculty, reflective of society at large.
