Sierra College is a Community College located near Sacramento,
California where a heavy emphasis is placed on academic excellence
and student success. Since its founding in 1936, Sierra College has
focused on quality instruction and meeting the evolving needs of
the students and communities that it serves. The Sierra Community
College District covers more than 3,200 square miles and serves the
Northern California foothill counties of Placer and Nevada, as well

throughout the region in both on-ground and online courses,
including students at our main Rocklin Campus as well as at three

administrative direction of an educational administrator, to
provide help to students to learn various aspects of Fine Arts by
preparing and delivering lesson plans, lectures and supplementary
materials, to select appropriate teaching methods and techniques to
provide for an enriching academic curriculum to students through
classroom and/or laboratory instruction, to evaluate student
progress, and to do related work, as required. To see

QUALIFICATIONS CCC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
HANDBOOK Master’s in fine arts, art, or art
history OR Bachelor’s in any of the
above AND Master’s in
humanities OR the equivalent. (NOTE: “Master’s in
fine arts” as used here refers to any master’s degree in the
subject matter of fine arts, which is defined to include visual
studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking,
ceramics, textiles, and metal and jewelry art; and also art
education and art therapy. It does not refer to the “Master of Fine
Arts” (MFA) degree when that degree is based on specialization in
performing arts or dance, film, video, photography, creative
writing or other non-plastic arts.)
