Job Description

The Department of Computing Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a non-tenure-track Professional Assistant Professor (PAP) in Computer Science to begin fall 2021. This is a full-time, nine-month appointment. The Department of Computing Sciences prepares students to pursue productive careers and advanced degrees in computer science or geospatial information science.

The basic job requirements include:

• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses,
  
• Advising and recruiting undergraduate and graduate students;
  
• Supporting the instructional needs of the Computer Science B.S., Computer Science M.S., and Geospatial Computing Sciences Ph.D. programs, and
  
• Representing the department in national and international computing functions as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

• An earned Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field. Advanced ABD will be considered; degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.
  
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels; and
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching Computer Programming, Cybersecurity, and/or Game Programming.
