Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting

Tenure Track Position in Accounting. The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) invites applications for assistant/associate rank for a tenure track position in accounting to begin spring or fall of 2018. The UAFs accounting program holds separate AACSB accreditation. Applicants seeking a balance of teaching and research responsibilities will find a collegial work environment. Candidates are required to possess a PhD in Accounting from an accredited institution, or completed the AACSB Bridge program. A minimum of one year of teaching experience in a program where English is the language of instruction is required. ABD's will be considered if the candidate has an approved thesis proposal. All areas of teaching and research should apply. Candidates with financial, auditing or taxation interests are preferred. Professional experience and certification are desired. Experienced candidates should have a strong, current research record (at least 3 publications in the past 5 years). Primary duties are to teach five undergraduate courses a year. Outstanding teaching and excellent communication skills are required. In addition to having an active research program candidates will participate in departmental and university service and engage in continuing professional development and professional service.
