Woodbury University invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor to develop and pilot curricula for a new Sustainable Practices program. The rank for this position will be that of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on experience and qualifications.

Housed in the School of Architecture, the BA in Sustainable Practices is a new interdisciplinary degree that integrates knowledge of economics, policy, design, and environment to advance the field of sustainability. It promotes a rigorous understanding of how resources are used and how decisions are made in society, as well as the impact of technology and consumption on the environment. Central to the curriculum are interdisciplinary, problem-based studio courses that challenge students to develop links between the theory and practice of sustainability in real-world contexts.

Faculty rank and salary are commensurate with teaching experience, professional background, and the degrees held. Contract renewal and rank advancement at Woodbury are contingent upon satisfying departmental and university criteria, which include effective teaching, meaningful engagement through creative work, scholarship, and service to the University. Woodbury University is a non-tenure granting institution.

The position begins in August 2021.

Salary and Benefits

Assistant or Associate Professor salary ranges between $58,934 - $85,126
