Assistant Professor - Biophysical Chemistry

Tenure track position to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the field of Chemistry.  In addition, must write proposals to obtain external funds and develop a successful research program in the areas of Biophysical Chemistry.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or its equivalent with a specialty in Biophysical Chemistry, and post-doctoral experience.  In addition, submit a plan for research and external funding and an essay of teaching philosophy. Must also have a commitment to serve the mission and goals of the university and have excellent communication skills in English or Spanish. Candidates from traditional areas of Chemistry may be considered.

DUTIES

The selected candidate will have a regular academic load equivalent to 12 credits per semester. This load will involve teaching, research and institutional services. Must also participate in professional development activities that help improve teaching and curriculum offerings.
