Assistant Professor - Hispanic Studies

Tenure-track faculty position in Literature at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 2021.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

PhD in Hispanic Studies or Spanish by the time of appointment, awarded by an accredited institution; research and teaching experience in Spanish, Hispanic-American, and/or Puerto Rican literature; proven knowledge of innovative teaching methodologies, including online course design.

DUTIES

Teaching introductory as well as advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in literature (teaching load of 12 credits per semester); willingness to develop and teach new courses in addition to participate in the creation of new academic programs by using different education modalities: on-campus, online and hybrid. Attend department and faculty meetings, serve on departmental committees, and engage in other administrative and academic tasks.
