One of eight campuses of Indiana University, Indiana University Kokomo is a comprehensive non-residential campus located 50 miles north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, a city with a population of about 50,000. The School of Education invites applications for a Lecturer in Education position beginning January, 2021.  This position is a 10-month per year term.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate Education courses including those offered as part of the Tomorrow’s Teachers: Growing Our Own high school pathway program.  The successful candidate will teach courses using a hybrid delivery model that includes on-campus instruction, virtual instruction, and instruction in participating high school buildings.  The position will also provide training and technical assistance to regional networks of school districts, employers, and local units of government in rural communities in North Central Indiana to meet the project goals of the North Central Indiana 21st Century Talent Development project, which is funded through a USDA Rural Community Development Initiative grant. The successful candidate will assist with conducting needs assessments of rural community networks; developing and delivering community workshops on career readiness and pathways, network development, and resource utilization; and facilitating regional forums. At a minimum, the successful candidate must hold a master’s degree in Education or a related field and have experience working in P-12 schools.  Experience in school-community partnerships, career assessment and guidance, and leadership is preferred. PhD and ABD applicants are encouraged to apply.
