Assistant/Associate/Professor of Accounting
The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position of open rank in the D. Wyatt Henderson Department of Accounting beginning Fall 2021.
The individual hired for this position will have responsibilities in teaching, research, and service. The primary teaching responsibilities for this colleague will be courses in Cost Accounting, Governmental Accounting, or Advanced Financial Accounting, with secondary teaching responsibilities of financial or managerial accounting courses. The teaching load is three courses per academic semester, and may include face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online deliveries. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will be required to engage in research and scholarship resulting in quality publications. All areas of research will be considered for the position. The position also requires service activities, including undergraduate student advising, contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes, and other service to the college, university, community and profession.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. from an AACSB accredited institution in accounting or a related discipline. A.B.D. candidates with a clear plan for completion by August 2021 are encouraged to apply. Preferred certifications include, but are not limited to, a CPA, CFE, or CMA. It is expected that the individual chosen for this position will possess a commitment to teaching excellence, demonstrated ability or capacity to produce quality scholarly academic research, a commitment to involvement in service to the university and the profession, excellent communication skills, and effective teamwork skills.
