Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing (Non-Tenure Track)

Ferrum College is seeking applications for the non tenure-track faculty position of Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor of Business in the marketing discipline beginning in the 2021-2022 academic year. The successful applicant will be a dynamic, student-focused teacher who is capable of growing the discipline of business in marketing infused with analytics (marketing, marketing research, retail management, professional selling, advertising, etc.) and possess a Ph.D., D.B.A., or M.B.A. with a specialization in marketing, marketing analytics, or related business disciplines. Relevant professional experience is a plus. Preference will be given to the candidate who demonstrates an ability to interact with diverse audiences and who are able to incorporate innovative, inclusive pedagogies and technology into their teaching. Given the breadth of programs in the business administration department at Ferrum College, the preferred candidate will be effective in teaching across multiple disciplines. This position offers the opportunity to develop new courses and move the program into other areas of interest such as social media advertising, leadership in marketing, and other areas of marketing. The successful candidate is expected to engage in community activities with local organizations, serve on division and college committees, advise and mentor students, and engage in curricular review and ongoing professional development.
