The Senior Research and Data Analyst (SRDA) is an integral
member of the Office of the Vice President for Research and
Innovation (OVPRI). Under the direction of the Associate Vice
President for Research Operations, the SRDA conducts research and
statistical analyses to identify, understand, and anticipate trends
in research funding, research productivity, and economic impact at
the campus and national levels. The SRDA works collaboratively with
offices in the division and across the university. The SRDA
conducts data analysis related to research, sponsored projects,
innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as develops and implements
systems to efficiently track and report sponsored project data and
the performance of our research administration and compliance
units.
The SRDA will also proactively develop proposals for research and
analyses that will help answer critical questions facing UO in the
area of sponsored projects, research administration, innovation,
economic development, research excellence, and financial
forecasting. The SRDA is responsible for identifying appropriate
methodologies, procedures, timelines, and other campus partners
necessary to complete projects in an accurate and timely way. The
position may conduct research, prepare reports, and present
findings not only for the purposes of OVPRI but also in response to
the needs of other UO offices as well as external
constituencies.
