Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree in related field preferred.
Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Required:
- A minimum of 3 years higher education administration or program management experience.
- Expertise in higher education scholarship administration, financial aid or admissions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to and experience working in collaboration with students, parents, faculty, and staff of diverse ethnicities, cultures, social and economic backgrounds.
- Expertise in designing and using financial spreadsheets and databases.
- Experience with evaluation, quantitative and qualitative analysis and demonstrated ability to use data to inform policies and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and initiatives around a program goal.
- A high degree of cultural sensitivity and awareness in working with students from first generation, underrepresented, transfer, and other targeted populations.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the University of Wisconsin and the College of Engineering with external stakeholders such as corporate donors and alumni.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide variety of constituents, such as students, parents, university partners, alumni, faculty, staff, foundation and corporate partners, etc. Ability to provide excellent customer service to high achieving students and their families.
- Experience with tracking recruitment and retention of students.
Preferred:
- Understanding and familiarity of state and federal financial aid regulations.
- Experience recruiting and working with undergraduate students.
