Ca’ Foscari is looking for a researcher in the area of Science and Technology of Materials capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.
The selected candidate will be requested to carry out teaching activities on topics consistent with the academic discipline, both in basic and specialized courses, performed with the method of face-to-face lessons or laboratory lessons and, eventually, online.
The teaching activity will cover aspects related to science and technology of materials and nanosystems.
The research activity will focus on topics that characterize the science and technology of materials sector of interest for the Department, related to the synthesis and design of materials of interest for engineering, industry and biomedicine, and characterization of their properties connected with their structure. The research activities will also involve investigation of materials useful for energy conversion and storage and for environmental safeguard.
The position is at the Department of Molecular Sciences and
Nanosystems. The Department aims to stimulate research development
and scientific education and is characterized by its research in
innovative fields. The Department also interacts with local
manufacturing firms and businesses, given the importance of its
research on sustainability themes. The education focuses on both
established research areas and more innovative ones like renewable
energy sources, green chemistry, nanotechnologies and
biotechnologies.
The educational pathways offered by the Department are designed to implement the strong interaction between the university and the job market, using a blend of traditional methods and new Lifelong Learning projects (LLP).
