Denison University invites applications for an Assistant Director, Center for Global Programs. This individual will develop innovative recruitment and outreach strategies to diverse student groups traditionally underrepresented in education abroad, and partner with key offices and academic departments to amplify students’ access to multiple, mutually reinforcing global learning opportunities. Collaborate with CGP staff on the creation and delivery of orientation programming that addresses unique health, safety and identity concerns of underrepresented students in education abroad and develop other cross-cultural learning programs and possibilities.

Bachelor’s degree required and at least three years of experience in higher education related to international education and study abroad, with demonstrated success in assuming new responsibilities. Previous experience studying abroad at the undergraduate level or time living/working abroad. Demonstrated ability to promote equitable access to international education and connecting diverse students to resources and opportunities. Knowledgeable about international fellowships, e.g. Gillman, Fulbright, CLS. Ability to articulate the value of study abroad for academic, personal, and pre-professional purposes for students, parents, and other campus stakeholders. Experience with program development, implementation, and assessment. Familiarity with international political, social, and cultural issues as they pertain to education abroad, international travel, and issues of identity.
