The Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science in the School of Science, Engineering and Health at Messiah University invites applications for a term-tenure track faculty position in Nutrition and Dietetics.

 

Responsibilities: The position includes teaching introductory to advanced nutrition and dietetics courses. The successful candidate will engage in scholarship, service, and student advisement.

 

Qualifications: Successful candidates for hire into a Term-Tenure Track position must have or be securing a PhD in Nutrition or a related field. Candidates must be credentialed by the Commission on Dietetics Registration as a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) or actively pursuing this credential. Candidates must evidence the potential for strong classroom teaching and a commitment to pursuing their ongoing scholarship in partnership with students.

 

The Program: Messiah University offers a Didactic Program in Dietetics as well as Dietetic Internship accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. The University recently approved a Master’s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics to accompany the Dietetic Internship with the first class beginning in spring 2023.

 

The Department: The Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science at Messiah College includes majors in Applied Health Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Athletic Training, Sport Management, and Health and Physical Education with pathways to Messiah University graduate degrees in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Nutrition and Dietetics. There are ten full time faculty and dedicated research and teaching laboratories.

Compensation:  Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
