Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from a four-year college or university with nine semester hours in programming and one year of experience in business application consulting or development.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to identify and master new technologies to forward the mission of New River Light and Power.

License/Certification Required Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Key focus of overseeing implementation of new programs and procedures related to Cyber Security, Customer friendly data access, Academic Integration, and data collection/manipulating/and applied analytics.
  • Operation and monitoring of computer system, central console, and peripheral devices.
  • Provides oversight and direction of social media interaction of customers
  • Troubleshoot system problems and correct.
  • Maintenance of documents, file storage and backup, disaster recovery.
  • Hardware and Software liaison and installation.
  • Assist with Iron software and operations.
  • Enhance information flow with PC hardware/software
  • Given ongoing capital projects related to Information Technology. This position must identify critical path of each project, determine dependency on other projects, monitory progress identify milestones, potential problems, and facilitate with input from others solutions.
  • Report writing and data collection, including but not limited to customer requests, Utility Commission and EIA report data, billing reports.
  • Oversight of the billing processes. This includes monitoring the billing calendar and ensuring that billing processes are carried out on schedule.
  • Data verification and cleanup of transformer information conversion. Re-establishing any meter to transformer relationships that may have been affected by the total system conversion.
  • Understands detailed technical issues providing stable architectural design and direction for technicians and other analysts.
  • Use existing knowledge of billing, financial, and AMI system to oversee transformation and integration of existing system, and critical need to transform this knowledge to other NRLP IT employees.
  • Consults with customers concerning issues and requests to create custom solutions.
Suggested Salary Range $75,000 - $82,247 Physical Demands of Position

Ability to lift associated computer equipment including, but not limited to, processing
units, monitors, printers, battery backup devices and related office machines. Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
