The Associate Vice President of Instruction in collaboration with the Senior Vice President of Instruction provides overarching leadership and direction to core instructional functions and to the development, delivery, and support of all instructional areas. This position directly supervises and provides guidance to the Center of Academic Engagement, Learning Resource Center, Auditing, eLearning, and Instructional Support Services/Special Projects) in support of GTCC's strategic plan and objectives.
Education Required: Master's degree from a regionally-accredited post-secondary institution.
Education Preferred: Doctoral degree from a regionally-accredited post-secondary institution
Experience Required: - Five years of progressive academic administrative experience in a postsecondary institution - Three years of teaching experience in a discipline taught at the college - Experience with faculty/staff supervision including performance evaluation - Experience in budget development and management - Experience effectively handling complex student issues related to instruction and registration - Experience with enrollment management, curriculum development and assessment - Experience with academic support areas, e.g., library and tutoring - Ability to build and maintain a pipeline of high performing leaders - Familiarity with advanced technology & distance learning policies and procedures
Experience Preferred: - Greater than five years of progressive academic administrative experience in a postsecondary institution - Greater than three years of teaching experience in a discipline taught at the college - Experience at a multi-campus community college
