Lecturer of Graphic Communications
School of Art and Design
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track lecturer faculty position to teach Graphic Communications in the School of Art and Design beginning August 2021.
Applicants should demonstrate interest and ability to teach in all areas of undergraduate and possibly graduate courses in design. This includes visual communication, typography, publication design, prepress, advertising, packaging design, identity design, information design, design research, and senior portfolio courses, plus one or more of the following areas: digital marketing, brand strategy, Web Design, SEO analyzation or motion graphics. The successful candidate will also have mastered skills in the Adobe Creative Suite platforms. A strong spirit of collaboration and commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and dialogue will be an asset.
Required qualifications include:
- MFA in Graphic Design + 3-5 years’ professional experience.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience developing and teaching Graphic Design courses.
- Willing to teach at the Graduate-level.
- Demonstrated understanding or experience teaching design processes, design research, design ethics, and design methodology as part of the creative process.
