The Department of Exercise Science at St. Olaf College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position in Exercise Physiology at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2021. 

This new colleague would teach upper-level exercise physiology classes with accompanying labs, intermediate-level performance nutrition classes, and directed undergraduate research classes. The normal teaching load is six courses per year. Duties also involve ongoing professional development, advising of students, service on department and college committees, and curriculum development. 

A successful applicant for this position will be an innovative teacher and scholar with a demonstrated interest in and dedication to undergraduate pedagogy. Applicants should have clearly defined and established areas of research, and be able to demonstrate how that research might include students. Ability to engage in interdisciplinary research with students and faculty from Neuroscience, Biology, Nursing, Dance and other disciplines is also valued.

Preference will be given to candidates able to furnish evidence that they have completed or that they expect to have completed a Ph.D. in kinesiology or exercise science specializing in exercise physiology by the time this appointment commences.
