Position Summary:
The Arkansas State University History Department invites
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in African
American History
The Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate and graduate
courses in African American History, the US History survey and/or
the Introduction to Global Diversity
The Assistant Professor will also advise students in the African
American Studies minor, participate in service activities for the
department, the university and the community at large, and show a
commitment to research and publication

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teaching load of the faculty is normally twelve hours per semester
- Faculty work load also includes research, creative activity, service, and professional development in the best interest of the students and community at large
- All faculty members are expected to assume student academic advisement responsibilities in addition to their regular teaching loads
- Other duties as assigned

Monday - Friday
