The Postdoctoral Associate will be responsible for single cell regulatory network analysis in plant roots. This project will involve developing machine learning tools to analyze regulatory network, to integrate DAP-seq and scRNAseq data in multiple plant species, and to infer genes that regulate root growth under salt stress and ABA treatment. The position will be required to travel to the Plant and Animal Genome Conference for annual project meeting. Model species will include Arabidopsis and related species that are adapted to extreme environmental conditions. The project is a collaborative effort with Stanford University, University of Michigan and Louisiana State University. The Postdoctoral Associate reports to Dr. Song Li in the School of Plant and Environmental Sciences.
Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, plant genomics, or other relevant field. Prior experience developing python or R scripts and pipelines. Strong interest in plant genomics, network analysis, sequence analysis and machine learning.
Prior experience using machine learning methods including deep learning neural networks.
