Vacancy Number: S-00674 Position Title: Graduate Nursing Advising and Recruiting Manager Classification Title: Program/Project Manager Department: College of Nursing and Health Sciences Administration Employment Type: Full-Time Duties and Responsibilities:

Creates and implements a plan to reach targeted admissions goals; advises and updates Dean and department chair about recruitment.

Develops a communication plan in conjunction with college and school leadership, college communications, college student services and the university admissions group.

Researches, develops and designs program, school and college recruiting materials, including video in conjunction with college communications and leadership.

Responsible for benchmarking, developing and updating best practices for college recruitment at the graduate level.

Assists department chair in coordinating and planning recruiting at the graduate level.

Oversees all aspects of the development and implementation of the recruitment of students to the degree programs within the college to reach and sustain the admissions goals of the college.

Provide supervision and management of every aspect of the advising and registration process.

Provide a thorough orientation to the College of Nursing and Health Sciences for new graduate students.

Advise all graduate students each semester to provide guidance in course selection, address questions, and offer information as necessary.

Provide guidance to graduate students regarding the Webster registration process.

Develop and continually update advising materials to facilitate the orientation, advising, and registration process for new and continuing graduate students.

Identify students in need of special services and refer to the appropriate department such as the Counseling Center, Career Development, the Learning Center for tutoring, or the Center for Disability Services.

Function as a student advocate with various departments to assure the continued enrollment of graduate students. (Examples include assisting in the admission process, financial aid referrals, seeking articulation of courses through the Registrar’s Office, obtaining course waivers from the proper academic departments for transfer credit, and evaluating applicable hours for Veterans benefits for the Financial Aid Office.)

Advise all graduate students, facilitate their registration process, and maintain their files.
Act as a Banner (Student) expert for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences as needed to instruct faculty and staff on its use and provide information to faculty as requested.

Represent the College of Nursing and Health Sciences on various university committees such as the Advising Committee and Academic Standards as assigned.

Participate in College of Nursing and Health Sciences committees as assigned.

Develop and implement a strong recruiting plan designed to facilitate the continued growth of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Represent the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at events such as Career Days, College Fairs, New Student Orientation, and Warhawk Welcome to share information about the College of Nursing and Health Science to potential students.

Manage initial student inquiries about the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and perform follow up.

Send information to prospective students as requested while maintaining a prospective student data base.

Develop brochures and other informational items about the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Assure that the information on the College of Nursing and Health Sciences website directed to potential students and to current graduate students is up to date and accurate.

Develop reports and accreditation information as needed; maintain a database of enrolled students and progression to graduation.

Maintain all program documents in designated physical and electronic files.
Begin the process to initiate letters of agreement from preceptors and clinical agencies.

Retain preceptor documents in SharePoint or other accessible electronic file.

Submits all completed clinical documentation to FNP Coordinator for verification of appropriateness.

Collects and analyzes evaluations of preceptors and clinical sites.

Maintains an accurate and current database for each clinical course to include student and preceptor contact information, state regulatory requirements, state boards of nursing requirements, and clinical agreements with facilities.

Verifies licensure status of preceptors each semester.

Verifies that student documentation in Castlebranch is complete and approved each semester.

Analyze admissions and graduation data as needed to identify trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master’s Degree in a related area, and four (4) years of related work experience in higher education.
