Day and evenings

Teach Certified Nursing Assistant program on site at Roosevelt Care Center for Middlesex County College; plan, develop, teach and coordinate certified nursing curriculum for Middlesex County College students; supervise and monitor nursing assistant students in clinical phase of program; evaluate student academic and clinical progress throughout the program; ensure classroom safety and discipline; maintain types and quantities of supplies and equipment required for the program and assure regulatory compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Licensed in New Jersey as a Registered Professional Nurse.
2. At least three years of full-time or full-time equivalent experience in a licensed health care facility.
3. At least one year of full-time or full-time equivalent experience as a RN in a licensed Long Term Care facility within the five years immediately preceding submission of the instructor/evaluator resume to the Certification Program of the State Department of Health for approval.
4. Must have successfully completed a training workshop offered by the NJ State Department of Health for Instructors/Evaluators becoming DOH Certified Nurse Aide Instructor.
5. Must maintain nursing licensure and all necessary qualifications required by the College, clinical location, and the State of New Jersey for certification as a CNA instructor.
6. Adult teaching experience preferred.
7. Must have valid driver’s license.
8. Excellent written, oral, computer and interpersonal skills.
9. Strong commitment to teaching excellence.
