Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTION:

Provide Tier 1 support of database driven applications including the student administrative system and 3rd party software solutions for the University community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide technical and operational support for enterprise applications; these include but are not limited to Colleague, Canvas, SoftDocs, 25 Live, Campus portal and others:

  • Act as technical resource to respond to end-user needs and collaborate with Tier 3 support as needed
  • Document user guides and procedures
  • Perform client installations and upgrades
  • Distribute ad-hoc and other reports as needed
  • Perform daily operations in support of University functions


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide training to users, as appropriate, on the proper use of application software.
  • Develop and maintain up to date training documentation for the University Portal.
  • Perform quality assurance testing in partnership with Tier 3 enterprise application personnel.
  • Participate in all efforts of the Office of Information Technologies to enhance the effective use of technology at the University.
  • Perform such other related duties that may be assigned.



Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Science, or related field required. A minimum of two years' experience in application support, technical service or related work.

  • Present excellent oral and written communication skills at both the technical and non-technical levels.
  • Work effectively as a team member or independently as appropriate
  • Collaborate with administrative users and Information Technologies staff members.
  • Provide reliable and dependable service during critical times of the University calendar.
