Job Summary
The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at Columbus State University is seeking qualified applicants to teach two Japanese language and culture classes per semester at the Elementary and Intermediate levels. The instructor must be willing to comply with department teaching requirements; recruit to their language program; and participate in professional development activities.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate should have an earned Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in the Japanese language and/or literature; and must have native or near-native fluency in Japanese. The selected candidate must have the ability to operate the Online Learning Management System.

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position has been filled. Applications for part-time and full-time faculty positions must include transcripts of all academic work, and official transcripts must be presented prior to campus visit if selected for interview. Applicants must have the ability to meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requirements, in particular a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
