Job Description

The Degree Audit/Systems Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining academic information in the degree audit software system. This position serves as the system liaison for the Registrar’s Office with academic departments to ensure software functionality for curriculum changes and updates course information in native Banner to support the degree audit and online course catalog systems. This positions serves as the primary resource for information on the degree audit system by providing training and education to campus units. They also assist with the online catalog and update the major/minor and program of study forms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

Builds and maintains (via coding/scribing) academic information in degree audit software system to support published degree attainment output for students and the overall campus community.
Serves as the system liaison for the Registrar’s Office with academic departments and the Curriculum Committee to review, analyze and process curriculum changes, while also overseeing software functionality.
Maintains and updates course information in native Banner in order to support degree audit and online catalog systems.
Primary resource for publications/ communications, training supplements and advisor and student training on degree audit system.
Assists with online University catalog.
Updates and maintains major/minor and program of study forms.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus experience with logic methodology or database applications; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as problem solving, detailed analysis, logistical thinking and strong interpersonal/presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Banner, excellent organization and record keeping skills, and working with the public.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
