Lecturer of Communication

School of Communication and Media

 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Communication position in the School of Communication and Media to begin August 2021.

 

Kennesaw State University invites applications for a Lecturer position with an emphasis on teaching Public Speaking sections and the potential for supporting other intro-level courses for which the candidate is qualified. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in Public Speaking and, potentially, Human Communication.

 

The successful candidate will also perform some service duties.

 

Excellence in teaching and engagement is expected of all faculty members in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KSU. Faculty in the School teach in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.

 

A Master’s degree in communication, mass communication, journalism, or related field, or its foreign equivalent, is required as well as a record of effective university teaching.

 

Preferred qualifications include:

 

  • Ph.D. preferred
  • Previous experience teaching Public Speaking
  • Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
