Vice President for Research

The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) seeks a Vice President for Research (VPR) is to lead, promote, and stimulate research programs at ESF (the College). Finding research opportunities, ensuring that faculty and staff have access to the resources needed to successfully compete for grants, fulfilling compliance requirements, developing inter- and transdisciplinary collaborations, supporting College priorities and portraying its research to broad and diverse audiences are all within the purview of the VPR. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing research space and the finances of the Office of Research Programs (ORP). The VPR reports directly to the College President, is a member of Executive Cabinet, and establishes and coordinates administrative functions with College leadership to maximize efficiency. ESF is particularly interested in candidates committed to diversity and inclusiveness.
