Assistant Professor in human-centered computing and/or related areas, e.g., experience design, interaction design, programming, artificial intelligence, or game development. Position expectations include teaching courses that may include, but are not limited to, programming, human-centered computing, interaction design, experience design, artificial intelligence and game development; maintaining an active research and/or creative agenda; advising students; developing curricula and providing service to the institution.

This is a full-time tenure-track position and is open at the Assistant Professor rank. ETBD faculty are actively involved facilitating graduate/undergraduate interdisciplinary research projects; leading client-based projects; leading co-curricular activities, and advising student organizations.

Required: M.F.A. or Ph.D. in related discipline (e.g., computer science, human-centered computing, media arts, etc.) by date of appointment. Teaching, research or creative achievement, or industry experience.

This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.)

Desired: Considerations may be given to candidates with an accomplished research or creative achievement record, including a record of significant peer-evaluated scholarship and successful grant writing. Demonstrated experience in related areas. A record of experience and/or keen interest in teaching in related areas.
