Theatre: Assistant Professor teach primarily in acting and performance in a BA liberal arts program; maintain an active creative and research agenda; advise students; provide service to the institution. Faculty in the Department of Theatre supervise and mentor student research and creative projects, contribute to theatre studies and liberal education curricula, and participate in recruitment activities. We value interdisciplinary work and are committed to diversity and inclusive excellence.

Required: MFA or Ph.D. in acting, performance, or closely related field by date of appointment. Experience teaching introductory, intermediate and advanced acting skills at the undergraduate level.

Desired: Consideration may be given to candidates with experience or specialty in one or more of the following: decolonizing acting and performance pedagogy; incorporating non-Eurocentric techniques or approaches; nurturing and developing new work (devising, solo performance, teaching artistry, or community-based performance); developing inclusive and innovative curricula that blend theory and practice to bring forward the voices of historically underrepresented communities.
