Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Security Officer (Security Specialist III) in the Department of Public Safety.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: patrol assigned areas; direct/regulate pedestrian and vehicle traffic as needed; issue citations for violations of University rules and regulations; secure and unsecure buildings, doors, windows and gates as needed; respond to calls for services; handle security and service-oriented situations; complete and file appropriate forms; provide event security; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and six (6) months of experience in fire prevention, safety or security activities are required.  Must possess and maintain a valid SC driver’s license. One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
