The Associate Dean is a member of the faculty (rank commensurate with experience) who also holds an administrative appointment related to managing nursing programs in the School of Nursing. This position is responsible for the operational aspects of the Entry-Level BSN program, which includes the traditional BSN and on-ground and hybrid ABSN; RN to BSN including the Associate to Bachelor's programs and graduate nursing programs.

Responsibilities include day-to-day program operations; assisting students toward successful program completion; staffing, mentoring, supervising, and evaluating classroom faculty instructors; and assessing student learning in on-ground, online and clinical simulation learning environments. The Associate Dean collaboratively works with the Dean for the fiscal well-being of the nursing programs.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will be prepared at the doctoral level, with a PhD preferred. Candidates with a Doctor of Nursing Practice are encouraged to apply. MSN-prepared candidates with clinical experience and expertise will be considered with the expectation for enrollment in a doctoral program of study within one year of hire and program completion within five years of hire. Candidates with prior teaching experience at the collegiate level are preferred. Active RN license in Maryland or compact state required. This is a 12-month position.
