Penn State Schuylkill is seeking a Director of Business Services to lead our business and housing operations. Reporting to the Chancellor, the Director of Business Services and Housing Manager (DBS) assists the Chancellor and supports the Directors in:
- Administering the daily operations and the strategic initiatives of the campus
- Provides leadership to the campus Business Services team
- Collaborates with offices across campus
This individual develops and implements procedures to improve operational efficiencies, business growth, and financial success, works to ensure compliance with University policies and procedures including, but not limited to, University Administration, Environmental Health and Safety, Emergency Management, Physical Plant, Risk Management and Finance and Business. As the Housing Manager, this individual manages the Nittany Apartments, collaborating with offices across campus such as finance, physical plant, and student affairs, and with Penn State Housing and Food Services.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the continued development of a welcoming and inclusive campus environment. This position will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Degrees in business, accounting, or finance and related experience is strongly preferred. Requires some evening and weekend availability and the successful completion of the three publicly available clearances. Applicants are asked to submit the following:
