Department/College Description
The College/ Department: The School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS) is one of six academic units in RIT's College of Science, which also houses the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, the Integrated Sciences Academy, the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, the School of Physics and Astronomy, and the Thomas H. Gosnell School of Life Sciences. The SMS promotes research in mathematical and statistical sciences and is the home of 74 faculty members, four administrative staff members, three undergraduate programs (Applied Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, and Applied Statistics and Actuarial Science), two MS programs (Applied and Computational Mathematics, and Applied Statistics) and a Ph.D. program in Mathematical Modeling. The SMS offers the required mathematics and statistics courses for students from all RIT programs.
Detailed Job Description
The School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS) at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for one or more non-tenure track full time Lecturer faculty positions starting in August 2021. Lecturers are responsible for teaching and expected to have a strong commitment to and proven ability to teach a full range of undergraduate courses, which include, but are not limited to, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, and probability. The professional duties will include instruction, office hours, and attending college and school faculty meetings.

Required Minimum Qualifications
PhD. in mathematics, applied mathematics or mathematical sciences with one or more years of demonstrated excellence in teaching university-level mathematics courses in an English speaking environment.
OR
MS in mathematics, applied mathematics, or mathematical sciences with 4 or more years of demonstrated excellence in teaching university-level mathematics courses in an English speaking environment.

MS, MA, PhD
